AMVETS Department of Washington, D.C. donates thousands of dollars and volunteer hours to a variety of programs, including the D.C. Veterans Affairs Medical Center and its voluntary service program; college ROTC programs within the metropolitan area and Junior ROTC programs at Washington, D.C. high schools; and Greenleaf Senior Citizen Center in southwest D.C.
Our volunteer activities are supported through numerous efforts, including donations made to AMVETS Thrift Stores in the greater metropolitan area. For information on donating items to the thrift stores, please call 1-877-726-8387.
