2010 AMVETS Civil Servant of the Year Award
In appreciation of her outstanding support to American Veterans. In the areas of outreach, awareness, recruitment and retention,
Ms. Smith's assistance has been extremely helpful to the Wounded Warrior Program as Veterans facilitate their return into
the workforce.
2010 AMVETS of the Year Award
In appreciation of his outstanding volunteer support of our Bingo Program held monthly for the Hospitalized Veterans at the
VA Medical Center, Washington, DC. Mr. Kendrick is also recognized for volunteering to setup and maintain the Department’s
website from 2007 to the present at no cost to AMVETS.
In recognition of his outstanding original art works and prints displayed throughout the world. His creative
awareness of military
units honor our troops that have defended the freedom of the United States of America.
In appreciation of his outstanding service to American Veterans. Mr. Forbes involvement with homeless Veterans on the
Maryland Easter Shore resulted in the establishment of a Veterans Service Center, which bears his name Forbes Hall, Veterans
Education and Training Center.
In recognition of his extraordinary leadership and creative vision for the Veterans Health Care process,
this includes facilities in Washington DC, Baltimore, MD and Martinsburg, West VA. The delivery of Veterans Health Care
within VISN5 Medical
Centers and Community Based Outpatient Clinics are second to none
